Jaguar - Mayan God Xul
The Jaguar was a power symbol to the Maya people. Thunder and Lightening - were controlled by the Jaguar God, Xul. Using the Serti technique on silk, I wanted to show the power and beauty of Xul - hanging from a sky band, and create the feeling of an ancient Mayan Glyph on a temple wall.
